Week 7 in the Connected Educator

This was our final week of learning, and it is actually my last class for my Masters Degree! I was so excited to get to this week, that I was feeling antsy to get it done but to not at the same time. Sometimes you just want to reflect on all the hard work and the time you spent on these classes, and so I was doing that this week. Really thinking of everything I have learned and how even in my final class, I learned so much more than before. This week we learned about Google Search tips and trick to help you search for the things that you want to find without searching forever. I looked into how you can use an asterisk (*) in a quote or in a lyric to help you find what you are missing. For example, if I can't remember a specific quote word for word, then I can type it like this (make sure you use quotes as well) "Let her sleep, for when she wakes, she will move *". If you type that in, it will show you the correct quote that you are wanting. Even if you mess up a few...

Week 6 in the Connected Educator

So many times we want our students to become more engaged in their learning, yet we don't change what we are doing in the classroom. This week in the Connected Educator, I was able to find multiple tools that would increase engagement in my classroom and help my students with their learning. The first tool that I learned about was Symbaloo . Symbaloo is a great source that helps you keep all of your webpages on one single page. You can create a Symbaloo for a research project, for math activities that students can use, or to keep all of your important webpages in one place. You can design your Symbaloo page to look any way you want and you can organize it in a way that works best for you or your students. You then can share a link so that they can see your Symbaloo page and use it for themselves.
