Week 7 in the Connected Educator
This was our final week of learning, and it is actually my last class for my Masters Degree! I was so excited to get to this week, that I was feeling antsy to get it done but to not at the same time. Sometimes you just want to reflect on all the hard work and the time you spent on these classes, and so I was doing that this week. Really thinking of everything I have learned and how even in my final class, I learned so much more than before.
This week we learned about Google Search tips and trick to help you search for the things that you want to find without searching forever. I looked into how you can use an asterisk (*) in a quote or in a lyric to help you find what you are missing. For example, if I can't remember a specific quote word for word, then I can type it like this (make sure you use quotes as well) "Let her sleep, for when she wakes, she will move *". If you type that in, it will show you the correct quote that you are wanting. Even if you mess up a few other words, it will take you to the right quote.
Here is a screenshot of what I typed in the Google Search.
I ended my course project with a Adobespark video about how to use Symbaloo in the classroom. I have truly enjoyed learning about how to use Adobespark videos. They are so fun, easy to use and I feel like a true creative person, which I am not. It adds an engagement piece to anything that you are wanting to present and it is fun to create as well. I will use Adobespark again and again in my classroom and with my coworkers.
I have enjoyed and I have learned so much in this class. I will use these new ideas and activities into my classroom to make myself a better educator. Thank you!
